General Information
*The YMCA is a non-smoking facility. This policy is also in effect for playing fields and grounds.
*Age Policy: To ensure the safety of our younger members, children under the age of 15 years are not permitted in the weight room.
*Guests: We welcome guests of our members. A maximum of 2 visits per year are allowed per guest. Out of town members may utilize the A.W.A.Y. program with 7 visits free a year.
*NSF Policy: There will be a $30 NSF charge on all returned checks, bank drafts & credit cards. Repeated NSF charges will result in termination of membership &/or cash payment only.
*Financial Assistance: No one is denied membership or program participation due to inability to pay. Financial assistance is available for those who qualify. Please contact a member of our staff team for more information.
*Refund Policy: Refund for programs are generally not given unless the YMCA cancels a class or program. Any refund request must be in writing and approved by the Program Director.
*Behavior Policy: The Amarillo Family YMCA reserves the right to warn, suspend, or dismiss any member or program participant from our facilities and programs upon any of the following conditions:
If behavior poses a threat to themselves or others.
If they require an inordinate amount of attention from staff, thereby causing inadequate levels of supervision for the remainder of the members of participants.
If behavior is determined to be inappropriate within the scope & spirit of the YMCA values.
*Payment Methods: The YMCA accepts cash, check, debit or credit cards (Visa, MC, AX, and Discover). The Amarillo Family YMCA now offers an automatic payment plan. Fees can be automatically drafted from either your Bank, Credit Union or Credit Card account. There is no additional cost for this program. All payments for programs must be paid in full in advance.
*Membership Cards: Your membership card is valuable and important. For security, all members must present their card at the welcome center. If you lose or misplace your card, we will be happy to replace it at a fee of $5.00.
