Youth Advisory Committee (YAC) Ages 10-17, living or attending school in the 79107 zip code Youth Advisory Committee groups will meet weekly at such sites as the North YMCA, North Branch Library, S.O.S. Youth Activity Center and Buchanan Street United Methodist Church for the purposes of increasing their awareness of community, developing leadership and life skills, assessing the needs of youth and their community, suggesting and implementing programs and projects to increase the well being of youth and their community. They will also partake in special field trips, recreational team-building events, out-of-town leadership training conferences and social skill-building events.  Youth will be selected based on points accumulated throughout the year and will participate in the yearly Teen Summit at Ceta Canyon.
